Cream Cheese Frosting



Ingredients

  • 8 ounces of cream cheese

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla paste or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 cup of heavy whipping cream


Preparation

  1. In the bowl of stand mixer with a whisk attachment, beat together the 8 ounces of cream cheese and 1/2 cup of sugar on medium speed until well combined and fluffy (about 3 minutes). Add in vanilla paste and whisk in to combine. Set aside.

  2. In another stand mixer bowl with the whisk attachment, with slowly increasing speed whisk the heavy whipping cream. Whisk until stiff peaks form and then turn off the mixer.

  3. Using a spatula, fold the cream cheese mixture into the whipping cream. Be careful to not over mix but to evenly combine everything.

  4. Refrigerate the mixture until you are ready to use.


Preparation Notes

  • Yield: Frosting for ~ 12 cupcakes
